You'll know by now, at Branch309, "we're all about the brands". Catchy catch phrase, non? Can you do better? Suggestions to shoeshine@branch309.co.uk. Go on - we dare you.
Anyway, excuse the slight sidetracking there. Back to the business of brands and one of our absolute favourites is adidas (always with a lowercase 'a' people). Started in the 1920's by Adi Dassler, adidas trainers can be retro classic (think the Samba, Superstar and Campus) or bang up to date (new versions of the Top Ten and Decade, the Sleek series and their martial arts inspired styles) and they have the innate ability to always be cool. Although we don't think ads and collaborations with the likes of David Beckham, Ian Brown, Missy Elliott et al do them any harm. Here are our top picks from the Branch309 adidas range...
adidas Decade Hi (women's). We love the zingy colour combo on these shoes, mixing up metallics with bright orange (orange is SO hot for summer) is SUCH a good idea. Plus - hi tops. You can't go wrong.
adidas Adris Mid Sleek (women's). A relatively simple style from adidas in buttery soft grey suede. We love the bumper toe cap (so called because it's like a car bumper or summat. Not because of its size. Its size is tiny, obvs) and the basic colouring. Wear it as a neutral against summer's colour blocking.
adidas Samba. (men's) You want classic? You got it. Check out this pale blue version of the Samba (more traditionally seen in black or navy). Have you got the bottle to rock pastel this season?
adidas Attitude Vulc West. (men's). At the risk of souding wimpy, we can't decide if we love these or if we're scared of them. Hmm. Loving the hi top style, the colour contrast and the phat as you like tongue. Scared of Mr Helmet Head's eye socket lightning bolts.
adidas Top Ten Lo NBA trainers. (men's). These trainers have a glorious old skool basketball vibe to them, as well they should, being part of adidas' NBA range. The white and blue colourway makes them perfect for spring/summer and the perforated upper will help with breathability - you know what that means? Less foot stink. Winner.
No doubt #4 definitely caught my attention. Few things motivate more than getting paid two plus times a month. That and an active email list.

Good article - and you have hit the nail on the head. Totally agree with the no fakesters section.
