Here are Branch309, we are suckers for a good hi top trainer. They're so multifunctional and work just as well with skinny jeans as they do dresses and skirts, for the girls and, dare we say it, we think there ain't no shame in a dude rocking hi tops and shorts. Come sunnier days obviously. Here are our tops picks...
Hi Top Top 3 for the girls...
adidas Top Ten Sleek Hi. Since we're top 3-ing it up here, here are our three favourite things about this awesome little trainer:
- Shiny, shiny patent!
- Pretty pink trim
- Shimmering silver detail
Converse All Star X Hi. Q:, what's better than one pair of shoes? A: Two pairs of shoes. Q2: But what's better value than two pairs of shoes? A2: A 2-in-1 shoe! And that's what you get with this little treat! Fold down the ankle for a black hi top with little bitty purple details showing or wear it turned up for an x hi look covered in itty bitty purple details!
Vans Fourty Four Hi. IN. YO'. FACE. That's the best way we can think of describing these trainers. If neon is in for spring summer (and we'd bet our Christopher Kane lace it is), then we reckon this trainer has it covered with yellow, pink and green. Clash it with yet more colour or keep it simple. The choice is yours.
Converse All Star Hi. Don't get us wrong, we love our classic Chucks. But, sometimes we just want to add an extra flash of interest to them. This feels like an abracadabra moment.
Vans Skate Hi Death to the Pixies. Er, how cool is this Vans x Pixies collaboration? Some collabs are weird - Iggy Pop and insurance, Johnny Rotten and margarine, Jedward and comparison sites (oh, ok, Jedward need to take anything they're offered - we accept that). But this one makes sense - in fact, we can see Frank Black knocking about with a pair of these on. For that matter, we can see Kim Deal in them too. Hmm...hands off our shoes girls!
Converse All Star Hi Special. These Cons remind us of the padded fisherman-esque jackets our Dads wore when we were small - the ones stitched in a diagonal square type design. Have we lost you? Anyway, these trainers feature a ripstop nylon upper with a tiny flash of bright orange lining. Again, it's a job well done on twisting a classic Chuck. Bravo.
